- A. It depends on the complexitiy of the programming,
how much content there is and whether or not the content is
readily available; some can be built in a couple of days,
others can take several months.
- Q. Will I own the copyrights to my Web site?[click here]
- A. Yes. You will own the copyrights
to your customized Web site from Blue Fox Graphics.
- Q. What makes up a Web site?[click here]
- A. A Web site is a collection of
related HTML documents, accompanying images,
media files, scripts, and style sheets.
- Q. Are your Web sites "templates"?[click here]
- A. No. Blue Fox Graphics creates custom Web sites.
It is our intent that each Web site we design is as unique
as the business or individual we are creating it for.
- Q. I need a company logo; do you do those?[click here]
- A. Yes! Blue Fox Graphics does custom graphics
which can be used on your Web site, business cards, letter head, etc.
Prices vary, depending on design complexity, but start at $85/hr.

- Q. Will I need to pay a deposit before my Web site is started?[click here]
- A. Yes. A deposit of 20% of the final estimated cost is requested from you.
This deposit is non-refundable if you decide not to continue with our services.
If Blue Fox Graphics decides to discontinue services with you,
the deposit will be refunded to you in full.
- Q. Will we need to have a meeting in order to get my Web site built?[click here]
- A. Although a meeting is preferable to go through your
requirements and ideas, the discussion of your site can
easily be done over the telephone, and through email.
- Q. Will I have to do the updates to my Web site
once the initial design is complete, or can you do them?[click here]
- A. A certain amount of change is recommended
to keep your Web site interesting and informative, and to change any
outdated information. Blue Fox Graphics can make ongoing changes
to the site for you, if you choose. We have affordable solutions ranging
from pre-purchased blocks of time to flat monthly rates.
- Q. Will my Web site display properly in other
browsers such as Opera and Mozilla?[click here]
- A. At Blue Fox Graphics, we try to optimize all of our custom Web sites
to display properly in modern browsers. Due to the large number of browsers
and versions available, it isn't possible to optimize a site for all;
however, generally a well-coded site should display reasonably well
in all browsers. If your site must display correctly in a particular
browser, please let us know and we will be happy to ensure that it does.

- A. Blue Fox Graphics is partnered with CKS Wireless, Inc.,
a wireless ISP located in East Texas, (also where www.bluefoxgraphics.com
is hosted). This partnership is dedicated to security, and dependability, which is reflected in
everything from our Apache Web servers to our numerous security protocols.
We use the most modern and secure programming techniques available,
which helps to ensure the security of our proprietary information,
as well as our customer's.

- A. An open source Web server which was
originally formed by taking all the "patches" (fixes) to the
NCSA Web server; it is currently one of the fastest, most efficient,
and most functional web servers in existence.

- A. HyperText Markup Language.
All Web pages are written with some form of HTML;
it is a universal language that can be read by virtually any computer.
- Q. What does URL stand for, and what is that exactly?[click here]
- A. Universal Resource Locator;
the exact address of a file on the Web.

- A. To put it simply, the Internet is a collection of computers
from all over the world that are all connected to each other.
Once a computer accesses the Internet, it is linked to every
other computer that's also connected at that moment (the Web).

- A. Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn, who defined the "Internet Protocol" (IP) by which
packets are sent from one computer to another; however, the concept
of packet switching had been invented by Paul Barran. One must not forget
to mention the Domain Name Service upon which the web relies heavily.
The protocols which make the DNS work were pioneered and standardized
by Paul Mockapetris. As for when the Internet was invented . . .
. . . the design of the Internet was done in 1973, published in 1974;
and rolled out in 1983.
